Luther and The Fall analysis

The editing and camera movement in The Fall is very slow and calm, which sets the tone for the show too. These are essentially polar opposites which shows the range of differences in which crime drama shows can work under. The mis-en-scene of The Fall uses many subtle clues and iconography that has deeper meanings behind it in the pilot episode. In Luther, it is more action based and meant for more passive viewing. There is not a lot of music in The Fall, and the sound is very quiet in general. In Luther, the sound and music is significantly louder and of a higher pace. Sitcom- A situational comedy is a show normally set in a secluded environment about a small group of people. It follows the same trend every episode. E.g. The Big Bang Theory and The Goldbergs.  Live comedy- A live show with an audience that stars a comedian or more than one comedian. E.g. The Russell Howard hour and Live at the Apollo.  Crime Drama- For example, Midsummer murders, Narcos Soaps- Daily shows that are terrible. e.g. Hollyoaks, Eastenders  Cartoon- There are many cartoons and they normally are under the comedy genre. e.g. Rick and Morty and Family guy
